DAY 1 - ARRIVAL WELCOME TO RIO DE JANEIRO (April 18, 2026)


You will be picked up from Rio Galeão International Airport (GIG) via private shuttle and taken to the Windsor Leme Hotel (or comparable) . You’ll meet your tour manager, check into the hotel, and later in the evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner as we go over the tour briefing.


DAY 2 - EXPLORE BRAZIL EXPLORE CHRIST REDEEMER | SUGAR LOAF MOUNTAIN (April 19, 2026)


You will embark upon an unforgettable journey to witness two of Brazil's most iconic landmarks. Marvel at the grandeur of Christ the Redeemer, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, as it majestically overlooks Rio de Janeiro. Then, ascend Sugarloaf Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views of the city and its tunning coastline. This adventure will be one of many highlights of your travels.


DAY 3 - LITTLE AFRICA TASTE OF BRAZIL COOKING CLASS |
LITTLE AFRICA TOUR (April 20, 2026)


Experience an authentic Brazilian cooking class, where you'll master traditional recipes and savor the true flavors of Brazil. Then, embark on the Little Africa tour, delving deep into the history of Rio. Once home to the world's largest African slave market, you’ll uncover how the heritage and legacy of these African communities remain alive in Rio today.


DAY 4 – THE HEART OF RIO EXPERIENCE FAMOUS SELARON STEPS |SHOPPING | SAMBA SHOW (April 21, 2026)


Discover the vibrant Selarón Steps, shop for unique treasures at a bustling local market, and cap off your day with an electrifying Samba show, immersing yourself in the heart and soul of Rio de Janeiro.


DAY 5 – FAVELA TOUR FAVELA COMMUNITY |SUNSET BOAT CRUISE (April 22, 2026)

Tour Rio’s famous favela communities to witness the modern-day socioeconomic impacts of the historical slave trade and get a glimpse into African-Brazilian life. You’ll learn the history of these unique homes and have a chance to meet the people who call them home. Conclude your day with a sunset boat cruise.


DAY 6 – SALAVADOR, BAHIA TRAVEL TO SALVADOR, BAHIA (April 23, 2026)

Today you will see the most iconic parts of Bahia State. For more than 2 centuries Bahia was the capital of Brazil, and is still considered the Soul of Brazil. You will visit the largest historical center in Latin America, the African Museum, and San Francis Church – known as the Gold Church.  We will stay at the Novotel Salvador Hotel (or comparable).


DAY 7 – SOUL OF BRAZIL VISIT PELOURINHO |AFRICAN MUSEUM |SAN FRANCIS |AFRICAN & YORUBA EXPERIENCE (April 24, 2026)

Enjoy the most iconic parts of Bahia. For more than 2 centuries Bahia was the capital of Brazil, and is still considered the Soul of Brazil. Visit the largest historical center in Latin America, the African Museum, and San Francis Church – known as the Gold Church. Witness Bahia's strong ties to its African roots, through a  vibrant show featuring the sounds, rhythms, and dances that characterize Afro-Brazilian culture.


DAY 8 - CACHOEIRA - AFRO-BRAZILIAN TOUR (April 25, 2026)

Cachoeira, one of Brazil's oldest cities, flourished during colonial times with over 630 sugarcane mills. Its historical significance as a major port city is reflected in its substantial Afro-Brazilian community. During your visit, you'll explore the Sisters of Good Death, a centuries-old African sisterhood preserving the heritage of former slave families for over 200 years.


DAY 9 –NORTH COAST BAHIA EXPLORE GUARAJUBA |PRAIA DO FORTE (April 26, 2026)

Visit the state’s North Coast region. Bahia has the largest coastline in Brazil with more than 670 miles of beaches with massive coconut trees.  You’ll visit Fort Beach, home to the ecological project that protects Brazilian Sea Turtles, and Guarajuba Beach. Then, catch a flight back to Rio and spend our last night there.


DAY 10 –DEPART TO TRAVEL (April 27, 2026)

We have come to the end of a life-changing experience! Prepare to head to the airport for departure. We look forward to seeing you on our next BEIP Afro Experience!

What are cancellation and refund policies for BEIP Brazil Tour Package?

If you want to cancel your booking, you must advise BEIP Tours in writing via email to reservations@blackexpatsinpanama.net. The notice must be received from the primary guest on the booking form.  If you do not receive acknowledgement of receipt of your cancellation notice within 24 hours, please check your Spam Folder and/or call 540.446.5107. 

Because of the special nature of the tour being offered, suppliers impose rigid cancellation fees. BEIP Tours has no control over these fees and cannot make any exceptions to these charges.  NO REFUNDS will be issued for payments received.  If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you MAY be able to reclaim these charges.  There are lots of travel insurance providers to choose from, however, this is a recommendation.  You can go here for travel insurance.
