ITINERARY

Day 1 – Akwaaba! Welcome to Ghana | Welcome Dinner (D)

Thursday, April 1, 2027

Arrival at Kotoka International Airport (ACC). Meet your team holding the BEIP TOURS placard and transfer via private transportation to the hotel.

Hotel check-in begins at 3:00 PM. Free time to rest and refresh.

Day 2 – Touring Historic Accra (Jamestown) (BLD)

Friday, April 2, 2027

Breakfast at Hotel.

Explore Accra’s historic and cultural landmarks:

• Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum
• Black Star Square & Independence Arch
• W.E.B. Du Bois Center
• Diaspora African Forum (DAF)

Visit DAF, learn about services offered to Members of the
Diaspora seeking citizenship in Ghana. The mission of the DAF is to be the bridge
that unites the African Diaspora and Africa. Have the opportunity to place
Ancestors’ name(s) on the Sankofa Wall.

Day 3 – Akan Naming Ceremony (BLD)

Saturday, April 3, 2027

Participate in a traditional Akan Naming Ceremony honoring Ghanaian heritage and cultural identity.

Day 4 – Slave River | Cape Coast & Elmina Dungeons (BLD)

Sunday, April 4, 2027

Breakfast included at the hotel.

Travel to the Central Region for guided visits to:

• Slave River (Dress Code: White)
• Elmina Castle Dungeon
• Cape Coast Castle Dungeon

Return to Accra in the evening

Day 5 – Relax and Unwind | Free Day (B)

Free day to relax or explore Accra independently

Day 6 – Aburi Experience (BLD)

Optional chocolate experience followed by a visit to the

Day 7 – Shai Hills & Royal Senchi Resort (BLD)

Wedneday, April 7, 2027

Visit Shai Hills Resource Reserve, enjoy lunch, visit Royal Senchi Resort, and experience a scenic boat ride along the Volta River.

Return to Accra in the evening.

Day 8 – Art, Fashion & Design Tour (BLD)

Visit the Accra Arts Center, enjoy a cultural drumming experience, and explore Oxford Street.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICIES FOR GHANA TRIP

What are cancellation and refund policies for BEIP Ghana Tour Package?

If you want to cancel your booking, you must advise BEIP Tours in writing via email to reservations@blackexpatsinpanama.net. The notice must be received from the primary guest on the booking form.  If you do not receive acknowledgement of receipt of your cancellation notice within 24 hours, please check your Spam Folder and/or call 540.446.5107. 

Because of the special nature of the tour being offered, suppliers impose rigid cancellation fees. BEIP Tours has no control over these fees and cannot make any exceptions to these charges.  NO REFUNDS will be issued for payments received.  If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you MAY be able to reclaim these charges. We recommend you explor insurance options IMMEDIATELY upon booking in order to get the most refund issues.  There are lots of travel insurance providers to choose from, here is an insurance provider resource.  You can go here for travel insurance.

Events beyond our control:  We cannot assume liability for events beyond our control, including, war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, pandemic, viruses, COVID-19, health risks, technical problems with transport including changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or alteration of the airline or aircraft type for reasons beyond our control or that of our suppliers; closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, and any other similar events.  TRAVEL INSURANCE IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED.
